What Good is Remote Reiki? Blast Your Energy Clean From Anywhere At All

Here’s something I don’t understand, but I know that it works: television.

I’ve used one all my life, so I can say with great certainty there’s some science behind TV that makes the images of things happening in some far-away place at some other time “magically” appear in a little box (or on a screen) in my home.

I don’t how it works, but I know that it does. If I were to go back in time and try to explain modern technology to our ancestors, that would be my explanation for most things. I don’t how it works, but I know that it does.

Here’s something else I don’t understand: distance Reiki. Considering that I’m a Reiki healer, it may surprise you to hear me say that, but consider this: if we got on a Zoom call to discuss your surprise, could either of us truly comprehend how we’re managing to converse face-to-face, in real-time, as though space doesn’t exist?

Reiki is healing energy , and, kind of like a television, I’m a conduit of it. The energy of Reiki itself is beyond time and space, but I’ve been tuned (maybe a radio is the more apt metaphor?) to channel it.

Who/What is (Distance) Reiki Good For, Anyway?

Everything is energy, very much including humans.

Briefly stated, we are composed of electromagnetic energy, and as we move through life we attract and repel other energy just by existing. We also attract and repel energy through our actions and even our thoughts. Too, sometimes we pick up energy that has nothing to do with us; nonetheless, it sticks.

Just like gunky physical stuff gets stuck to us as we move through life and we need to shower or bathe to rid ourselves of it, bits of gunky energy get stuck to us, and unless we deal with the gunk, it stays with us. And grows. And we feel crappy but we don’t know why. And the gunky energy calcifies into physical dis-ease and we feel lost and drained and resentful.

Maybe you’re familiar with the feeling?

You can think of Reiki, either in-person or distant, as a power wash for your energy. And me? I’m basically a firehose in this scenario, blasting your energy clean.

So What Does a (Distance) Reiki Session Look Like?

Well, first we climb in a giant coffin together…

Just kidding.

It’s really a pretty straight-forward event, not unlike a massage or spa treatment (except that the client is fully clothed).

When a client schedules a Reiki session with me, this is what they can expect:

  • They’ll be welcomed into my Reiki studio, either in person or virtually.

  • We’ll sit together for a few moments, chatting and getting comfortable with one another.

  • We’ll take a few deep breaths together to get centered, and I’ll ask the client if there’s anything particular on which they’d like me to work (this can be anything from “I can’t seem to make any money” to “I have shoulder pain,” really anything that pesters them).

  • I’ll ask the client to lie down on their back — on my massage table in my studio, or if it’s a remote session, where they’re comfortable and can hear the sound of my voice.

  • I’ll ask the client for permission to work with their energy, and if they agree, I’ll proceed to work with said energy. Whether the client is on my table or not, I’ll be moving around the table, reading the client’s energy and signing Reiki healing symbols over their (energy) body.

  • As the session concludes, we’ll sit together again, discussing anything I encountered in their energy. I’ll answer any questions the client may have, and offer any tips I may have for ongoing energetic/spiritual hygiene.

Reiki has been so incredibly beneficial to me and millions of others throughout time and space. Offering Reiki healing is one of the joys of my life, and I invite you to schedule a session with me. I’ll help you ditch the energetic gunk.
